Oh you know... stuff.

Now that Christmas is over, I feel a strange sense of relief. Now don't get me wrong, I love the Christmas season, but it just seemed like with moving and getting acclimated to a new place, Christmas suddenly became more stressful than normal. It was a good Christmas though. Don't worry, I'm not becoming a Scrooge. ;-) I got to sleep in! That was fabulous. :) Morgan spent the majority of the day at my house and that made for a good first Christmas.

Now that the busyness of Christmas is over, I'm especially wanting a job. Haha. I am once again experiencing the tightness of looking at a depleted bank account. Oh bother. Who wants to work for money? :-P No, I really want a job for a job's sake, not strictly to have money. I want a reason to get up in the morning, other than to check websites and my phone. haha. God, grant me the right job. I have several ideas of where I'd really like to work... but we'll see where God ends up putting me, right?

Time to sign off. Back to the oh so interesting world of my book. :)

It's time for some Christmas cheer....

It's amazing to me how an hour can seem to drag on, but how quickly days can pass by. This week especially seemed to fly by with moving and then getting set up. Because of the move, we had to wait to just about everything-Christmas until we arrived. So it feels as though the entire season has been packed into one week.

I'd forgotten what it's like to bake in a motor home, and I've spent the last few days reacquainting myself with it. I do love Christmas baking. :) However, I don't love what it does to my waist. :-P

Usually, every year, I try to buy most, if not all of my presents early in the season, but it seems that I was bent on a three-day shopping marathon right before Christmas. Haha. Morgan and I went out yesterday and managed to get his family and my family done. Now, I'm just shopping for Morgan and stocking stuffers. I love the feeling of coming up with a creative, thoughtful gift and shopping for it. I'm not sure, however that I love crowds and sore feet... lol. What a girl will put up with to shop! :) Yesterday I went shopping with the "Grinch" and today it was "Scrooge". No kidding... Morgan's nick-name has been the Grinch around here and my mom and I have always called my Dad, Scrooge. And it was fun! Bah-humbug my socks. They like Christmas to some extent too. :-P

Wishing you a Merry Christmas.

Baby Steps

After contemplating creating a blogspot for myself for several years now, I have actually done it. These are my first few baby steps towards regular blogging. I've had a xanga for years now, at least 6 years, but I'm hoping a blogspot will help me to blog more often.

I'm not sure how quickly I'll reveal my blogspot to the "world" as these are just baby steps currently. Hopefully, I'll stick with this. I love to blog and put my words down on something rather "permanent". It doesn't even matter to me whether others read what I have to say, I just enjoy writing.

But, if you are reading this, then I hope you will enjoy The True Ellabeth. I hope you shall find me somewhat witty and thoughtful. I hope I can encourage you and most importantly, point you to Jesus.
